Stillman leads the way after Round 1 of RCS 2024

As the second day of racing at Mantorp Park went under way, we had two more heat races to enjoy and yet again all drivers were ready for close action.

RACE 2

PETROVIC TOWARDS CLEAN SWEEP AT MANTORP PARK

The #42 car of Petrovic had another convincing session at the Radical Cup Scandinavia premiere, taking the top step on the podium after a lights-to flag victory. The fight for the other two podium steps however was really close with Erik Stillman making it another P2 and Erlend Juan Olsen grabbing his first podium finish in the championship as P3.

Hard Charger of the race was #25 Johan Leander (RCR Sweden) starting from P11 and finishing on P6. After starting Race 1 and 2 from the back, the young Swede will start from P2 in the final race of the weekend.

RACE 3

MAIDEN WIN FOR ERLEND OLSEN! 

After a hard fought final race of the weekend it was Stevan Petrovic who, once again, crossed the finish line as P1. But after the stewards review on the race start, Petrovic was penalized 10 seconds due to a false start. Olsen, who came across the line as second inherited the top step to clinch his maiden win in the Radical Cup Scandinavia. Big congratulations to the whole AutoTech-Sport team for their first win in the series! Erik Stillman made it 3 out of 3 podiums this weekend and came home with P2 in the final race, as Marcus Jönsson added another podium finish to his impressive career as P3.

Torbjörn Hallenheim (RCR Sweden) finished on a career best as P6 but had to work hard all race to keep the duo of Mikael Lidén (RCR Sweden) and Patrik Larsson (RCR Sweden) behind. Their best lap times was only separated with 0.124 seconds as the race was finished.
