Ljungbyhed, 2026-03-03 – Radical Sweden and Radical Cup Scandinavia has renewed its partnership with Sekvens for the 2026 season, following a successful first year as Official Timekeeping Partner and the introduction of the Sekvens Pole Position Award.
The inaugural Pole Position Award added a new competitive dimension to qualifying in 2025 and was decided in dramatic fashion. The title came down to the final qualifying session of the final race weekend, where Sebastian Schou narrowly edged Stevan Petrovic to secure the first-ever Sekvens Pole Position Award.
As part of the prize, Schou received a unique special edition Ollech & Wajs Sekvens 01 timepiece , a mechanical watch created to reflect the shared values of precision, engineering and performance.
For 2026, the partnership will expand further, with Swiss watch manufacturer Fortis collaborating with Sekvens as part of the official timekeeping programme.
The 2026 Pole Position Award winner will receive a Fortis timepiece, with the specific model set to be revealed on 23 March.
“Launching the Sekvens Pole Position Award in 2025 was a great success. It brought additional focus to qualifying and rewarded the driver who could consistently deliver under pressure. The fact that it was decided in the final session of the season shows how competitive the field is.”
“We are very pleased to continue building the partnership in 2026 and to welcome Fortis into the programme. Precision, performance and timing are central to what we do in racing, and this collaboration fits the championship perfectly.”Filip Svensson, Series Manager Radical Cup Scandinavia
“The first year exceeded our expectations. The Pole Position Award created a clear sporting objective and generated strong engagement throughout the season. Seeing it decided in the final qualifying session made it even more special.”
“For 2026 we are raising the level further together with Fortis. Motorsport and mechanical timekeeping share the same values — accuracy, engineering and performance under pressure. We look forward to another exciting season with Radical Cup Scandinavia.”Anders Kavcic, CEO Sekvens
