Rising Star: Lilo Elise’s Motorsport Journey

From Norway to Hawaii and Back Again

Lilo Elise, born and raised in Kolbotn, a small town just 30 minutes south of Oslo, embarked on a remarkable journey at a young age. At seven, she moved with her family to Hawaii, where they managed a coffee plantation for five years. This tropical interlude was a significant chapter in her life before returning to Norway and settling in Son, an idyllic village by the Oslofjord, 45 minutes south of Oslo.

Early Beginnings in Karting

Lilo’s motorsport journey began in earnest at the age of 12 when she borrowed Erlend Olsen’s old JR60 kart in 2018. Her passion and talent quickly became evident, and by the following year, she was competing in the X30 class. Her progression continued with a move to the KZ class from 2020 to 2022, showcasing her growing prowess in the competitive karting scene.

Transition to Car Racing

In 2023, Lilo took her first steps into car racing. She tested and raced a Praga R1t in England and Holland with Idola Motorsport. October of the same year saw her having a test day with Arden International in a Formula 4 car, both on the simulator and on the track. These experiences marked her transition from karting to higher levels of motorsport, providing invaluable seat time and exposure to more powerful machinery.

Embracing Radical with AutoTech Sport

Lilo’s former teammate, Erlend Olsen, a Radical enthusiast and successful racer, encouraged her to try out the Radical cars. Supported by AutoTech Sport, Lilo seized the opportunity to return to racing. She has had a few laps on the Rudskogen track and is eager to get more seat time. Her first impressions of the Radical car are positive, describing it as a potent racer requiring a unique driving style.

Looking Ahead to Radical Cup Scandinavia

Lilo is set to compete in the Radical Cup Scandinavia at Rudskogen, marking a new chapter in her racing career. With nearly a year since her last race, she is tempering her expectations regarding lap times but is enthusiastic about getting back behind the wheel. This event will be a crucial step in her development as a driver, and she is excited about the challenge ahead.
