Sebastian Schou has been confirmed as the 2025 recipient of the Sekvens Pole Position Award, following a season-long battle that saw him finish level on points with title rival Stevan Petrovic. The two drivers were inseparable on paper, both claiming an identical tally of pole positions and second-fastest qualifying times, but the award was ultimately decided by overall championship standings; with Schou securing the title and thus clinching the tiebreaker.
The Sekvens Pole Position Award has added a valuable new dimension to qualifying in Radical Cup Scandinavia, with drivers now rewarded not just for race results but for their outright pace over a single lap. The unique points format, awarding 2 points for pole in Race 1 and 1 point for the second-fastest time (setting the grid for Race 2), encouraged consistency and outright speed across the season.
That combination of qualities is exactly what Sekvens stands for. This shared philosophy made the collaboration between Radical Cup Scandinavia and Sekvens a natural fit.
“We’re proud to work with a brand like Sekvens, who understand the connection between engineering excellence and competitive performance,” said Filip Svensson, Promotor for Radical Cup Scandinavia “Qualifying is a pure test of speed, and recognising that effort adds depth to our weekend format.”
As the winner, Schou will receive a limited-edition OW M-52 Sekvens 01, a 39.5mm automatic watch built for both elegance and endurance, featuring a rugged 300m water resistance and a sleek black dial. Much like Schou’s season, it’s a statement of performance under pressure.
With qualifying now playing an even greater strategic role in the championship, the Sekvens Pole Position Award has proven to be a valuable and exciting addition to the series.
