Bäck and Bern close out a great weekend at Ring Knutstorp

Race 2

The second race of the weekend produced high drama from the very first corner. Pole-sitter Stevan Petrovic and title rival Sebastian Schou collided on the run into Turn 1 with 3 laps remaining, forcing both off track and bringing out the Safety Car.

When racing resumed the field remained tightly packed, setting up a hectic final lap that ended with Ludvig Bäck taking his maiden Radical Cup Scandinavia victory. Ludvig held his nerve under intense pressure to claim his first win in Pro SR3!

Behind him, Mikael Bern seized second place from Johan Leander at the final corner in a decisive move that capped off an action-packed race. The midfield also provided entertainment throughout, with Morten Strømsted, Rasmus Hedberg and Jørn Martin Aalerud engaged in constant battles for position.

Race 3

The final race of the weekend was equally eventful. The start was marked by heavy contact at Turn 1 involving Stevan Petrovic, Erlend Juan Olsen and Sebastian Schou, which left several cars in the gravel and triggered a Safety Car period. Both Schou and Petrovic rejoined, but Petrovic was forced to pit with damage and eventually classified tenth, while Schou recovered to fifth to salvage important championship points.

At the front, guest driver Mikael Bern capitalised on the chaos to take a commanding victory, marking a perfect end to his weekend. Johan Leander bounced back strongly from earlier setbacks to finish second, while Jørn Martin Aalerud secured third place after overcoming technical issues that had limited his pace earlier in the weekend.

Next up is the highlight of the Swedish racing calendar – the Grande Finale at Mantorp Park, 19–20 September, where the Radical Cup Scandinavia title battle resumes.
