Round two of Radical Cup Scandinavia at Ljungbyheds Motorbana delivered a weekend of thrilling racing, dramatic storylines, a big crowd and a reshuffling of the championship order.
Sebastian Schou proved unstoppable, taking all three victories across the weekend. After a wet and challenging qualifying session on Saturday morning, Schou lined up alongside Stevan Petrovic on the front row. Petrovic had dominated qualifying, claiming both pole positions in tricky wet conditions, but once the races got underway on a dry track, Schou was in a class of his own. The Danish driver delivered consistent, controlled performances to secure a clean sweep of wins, putting himself into the championship lead ahead of Petrovic.
Petrovic, despite showing strong pace in qualifying, struggled to convert his wet-weather form into race results, only claiming a single podium in Race 2. He now sits second overall heading into the summer break.
Ludvig Bäck bounced back from a challenging season opener at Gelleråsen Arena, securing his first front row start and podium finish of the year. He showed excellent speed and consistency across the weekend, proving he will be a force to watch in the rounds to come.
Erlend Olsen and Erik Stillman also added to their season’s success, both claiming podium finishes with solid performances.
With the first half of the season now complete, Radical Cup Scandinavia heads into a short summer break before returning at Rudskogen Motorsenter in Norway, where the fight for the championship is sure to intensify.
