Strong Driver Duo for STEP Motorsport’s Radical Debut

Sebastian Schou and Morten Strømsted will be behind the wheel of STEP Motorsport’s two entries as the team makes its debut at Gelleråsen Arena next week.

Youthful courage meets seasoned experience in STEP Motorsport’s driver lineup for the season opener. Both drivers bring previous experience from series such as Formula 4, and expectations are high from the outset.

“We’re coming in with two drivers who, on paper, may seem very different—but in reality, they’re both fiercely determined to get out on track and win races. That aligns perfectly with our ambitions. We’re entering Radical Cup Scandinavia to fight for victories,” says team principal Morten Dons, a former Radical Sportscars factory driver with in-depth knowledge of both the car and the championship.

Sebastian Schou has previously competed in multiple Formula 4 races for STEP Motorsport, and with his move to sports car racing, the 17-year-old from Silkeborg hopes to work his way towards a professional career:

“I’m incredibly excited to race in Radical Cup Scandinavia with STEP Motorsport. This is a great opportunity to continue my development and take another step up in my racing career. The first time I drove a Radical SR3, I was blown away by the acceleration and grip through the high-speed corners. And the sound of the engine revving to 10,000 RPM? It’s an absolute thrill! I can’t wait to get the season started,” says Sebastian Schou.

Morten Strømsted, father of Formula 3 driver Noah Strømsted, hasn’t parked his own racing ambitions despite his son’s pursuit of an F1 career. Last year, Strømsted competed in the International GT Open and Asian Le Mans Series, but in 2025, his full focus is on Radical racing in both Spain and Scandinavia:

“After a solid international GT3 season in the 2024 Asian Le Mans and GT Open, my 2025 focus is on the Radical SR3 in Scandinavia and Spain. I kicked offthe Spanish campaign with two wins, but the competition in Scandinavia is tougher—and I’ll need to learn a few new tracks. My primary goal is to gain more seat time in the car, and hopefully finish in the upper midfield,” says Morten Strømsted.

The two Danes will go up against competitors from across Scandinavia on a mix of Swedish and Norwegian circuits, before the season wraps up on home soil at FDM Jyllandsringen on September 27–28.

For now, Schou and Strømsted are confirmed for the first two rounds of the season, with further races currently under consideration.
