The 2025 Radical Cup Scandinavia season kicked off in spectacular fashion at Gelleråsen Arena, and it was Danish driver Sebastian Schou who made an immediate impact by clinching the first Sekvens Pole Position Award of the year.
Representing STEP Motorsport, Schou delivered an outstanding lap during Saturday morning’s qualifying session, stopping the clock at 1:03.664. Not only did it secure him P1 on the grid for Race 1, but it also earned him the coveted Sekvens Pole Position Award, presented in collaboration with Sekvens, Radical Cup Scandinavia’s Official Timekeeping Partner.
Presented at every race weekend, the award celebrates outright pace and precision in qualifying. It’s powered by Sekvens, our official timekeeping partner. Based in Malmö, Sweden, Sekvens creates premium gear for people who live and work with passion – from watches and cameras to notebooks and pens. The brand embodies the same spirit of focus, timing, and performance that defines motorsport.
Sekvens joins the series in 2025 to celebrate the fastest drivers in qualifying throughout the season. Each round, the driver who takes pole position will receive exclusive recognition – blending high performance on track with the elegance and craftsmanship that Sekvens represents.
“Starting on pole in such a competitive field is a huge achievement,” said Schou after the session. “The car felt incredible, and to be the first recipient of the Sekvens Pole Position Award is a real honour.”
The Pole Position Award adds an exciting new dimension to the series – underlining just how important qualifying is in the battle for championship points and prestige.
Stay tuned as we continue to track the fastest drivers of the season – because when every thousandth of a second counts, time matters more than ever.
