Four events – streamlined concept – and a clear direction for the future
Radical Cup Scandinavia has confirmed its 2026 race calendar, featuring four race weekends across Sweden and Denmark. The updated format reflects a strategic move toward a more focused championship structure, designed to strengthen participation and simplify planning for teams and drivers.
– We all know that both time away and budget are important factors in today’s world. That’s why it feels great to introduce a compact and efficient calendar, allowing us to focus on four high-quality race weekends with strong participation and great energy at every event, says Filip Svensson, Promoter of Radical Cup Scandinavia.
The condensed format also enables greater flexibility for drivers looking to compete beyond the region. By avoiding calendar clashes, the 2026 schedule allows participants to combine Radical Cup Scandinavia with other series – such as Radical Cup Europe, a five-round international championship running alongside the 24H SERIES at circuits including Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring, and Paul Ricard – or national categories like SPVM in Sweden and Special Saloon Car in Denmark.
– It’s been a complex puzzle to avoid calendar clashes between our European and Scandinavian championships, but we’ve managed to make it work really well, Svensson continues.
– I’m genuinely excited and optimistic about 2026. Our mission is to return to what we’ve always done best – taking care of our drivers and teams, and creating a racing experience that stands above the rest.
The 2026 season marks the next step in the ongoing evolution of Radical Cup Scandinavia – aiming to deliver competitive racing, close paddock collaboration, and a well-balanced calendar built around the needs of its participants.
Further announcements about the 2026 season will be shared in the coming weeks.
