Sebastian Schou edged closer to the 2025 Radical Cup Scandinavia title with a commanding second win of the weekend at Mantorp Park, surviving an incident-packed opening phase that reshuffled the order behind him.
The race burst into life from the start, delivering some of the season’s most frantic racing so far. Rasmus Hedberg initially looked set to challenge for a podium, but contact with Morten Dons saw the FH Racing driver shuffled down the order. That triggered a dramatic sequence where Hedberg, Dons, Stevan Petrovic, and Morten Strømsted fought hard for position, going three-wide out of the final corner.
It was there that Petrovic lost the rear and spun, only to be collected by Mikael Bern in a high-speed tangle that effectively ended Petrovic podium hopes, while Bern was able to recover and climb back to second by the chequered flag.
The result handed Morten Strømsted a breakthrough moment: his first outright Radical Cup Scandinavia podium, after a season of solid progress in the STEP Motorsport entry. Behind him, Dons was later penalised twenty seconds for the earlier contact with Hedberg, dropping him out of the top five.
Despite the chaos behind, Schou kept his head and pace at the front. His second win of the weekend puts him in firm control of the standings, with only the final round remaining, on home soil at FDM Jyllandsringen, where the Dane will look to seal the title in front of a local crowd.
