The 2025 Radical Cup Scandinavia season came to a close at Denmark’s FDM Jyllandsringen, with a dramatic finale that saw championship honours decided and podium places fiercely contested across three competitive races.
Qualifying: Schou Seals Double Pole
Sebastian Schou delivered under pressure in qualifying, securing double pole position in commanding fashion. The STEP Motorsport driver set the benchmark early and held off challenges from Stevan Petrovic and Rasmus Hedberg, who both looked strong but couldn’t match Schou’s pace over a flying lap. The two bonus points also edged Schou closer to securing the title.
Race 1: Schou Clinches the Title – and Breaks the Lap Record
Schou converted his pole into a clean start and held firm through the opening laps as Petrovic applied pressure. The two quickly broke away from the field and engaged in a strategic battle for the lead. With two laps remaining, Petrovic pushed hard but spun while chasing Schou, handing the Dane a clear run to victory – his sixth win of the season.
In addition to sealing the 2025 title, Schou also clocked the fastest lap ever recorded by a Radical at Jyllandsringen, stopping the clock at 1:05.959. A perfect way to cap off what was a perfect start to his weekend and underliens the performance of the SR3 XXR platform in the hands of Sebastian and the STEP Motorsport crew.
Petrovic recovered to finish second, while Rasmus Hedberg completed the podium in P3.
Race 2: Petrovic Strikes Back
Race 2 produced one of the most entertaining duels of the weekend. Schou and Petrovic once again went head-to-head, with the RCR Sweden driver managing to find redemption from his Race 1 mistake. After a fierce but respectful battle, where Petrovic managed to leapfrog Schou into turn 1, Petrovic emerged victorious. Taking his fourth win of the season and securing second place in the overall championship standings.
Hedberg maintained strong pace to secure another podium in third, capping off an impressive run of form in the final rounds of the Championship.
Race 3: Petrovic Doubles Up, Hedberg Ends on a High
The final race of the season saw Petrovic repeat his winning performance, fending off pressure from Hedberg and controlling the pace to take his second win of the day. Debutant Alexzander Kristiansson made an impressive start to go from P8 to P3 during the first lap to bring home a podium trophy after this first weekend.
Sebastian Schou did not start the final race after discovering a gearbox issue with the car.
