Radical Cup Scandinavia: What Each Title Contender Needs Ahead of the Season Finale at Jyllandsringen
As Radical Cup Scandinavia heads into its final round of the 2025 season, all eyes are on the title fight, and while Sebastian Schou holds a commanding lead, the championship is not over just yet. With three races remaining at FDM Jyllandsringen and a maximum of 95 points available, the final weekend promises to be decisive across the top of the leaderboard.
Schou on the Verge of the Title
Sebastian Schou enters the weekend with 372 points and a 65-point advantage over his closest rival, Stevan Petrovic. The title is within reach for the Danish driver, who only needs 31 more points to mathematically secure the championship.
However, the most straightforward scenario is this: if Schou finishes ahead of Petrovic in Race 1, the title is his, regardless of what happens in the remaining races. Even in the event of a tie, Schou holds the advantage on race wins. Having won six races this season and only missed the podium twice, his consistency continues to set the benchmark.
What Petrovic Needs
Stevan Petrovic remains in mathematical contention, but only just. With 307 points, the RCR Sweden driver must deliver near-flawless performances across all three races – ideally winning two or more heats, collecting fastest lap bonuses, and banking on Schou finishing outside the top five at least once. Anything less, and the title will likely slip away.
Bäck Still Chasing Second
Ludvig Bäck, currently third on 272 points, is 35 behind Petrovic. A top-two finish in the championship remains realistic, but will require Bäck to outscore Petrovic by at least 36 points across the weekend. That likely means a combination of podium finishes and trouble for his RCR teammate.
The Battle for Third
While the top two positions are relatively clear-cut, the fight for third overall is wide open. Several drivers still have a mathematical – and in some cases, realistic – shot at the final spot on the championship podium.
Erlend Juan Olsen (251 points): Needs to outscore Bäck by at least 22 points
Morten Strømsted (238 points): Requires a 35-point swing over Bäck
Rasmus Hedberg (201 points): Would need a perfect weekend and significant misfortune for the others
Olsen and Strømsted remain the most viable threats, especially if Bäck encounters any issues across the three races. Hedberg, while mathematically still in it, would need maximum points and results to fall perfectly in his favour.
Everything to Play For
With multiple podium places still undecided and the title itself technically up for grabs, the Radical Cup Scandinavia finale at Jyllandsringen sets the stage for an intense conclusion to the 2025 season.
