Race 3 at Rudskogen Recap
The final race of the weekend at Rudskogen unfolded under perfect conditions, setting the stage for an intense battle on track. Starting from the front row, Jørn Martin Aalerud and Rasmus Hedberg were poised to challenge for top honors. However, it was Lars-Bertil Rantzow who once again showcased his exceptional starting skills, seizing the lead into the first corner and maintaining his position at the front for the entire race.
In the PRO SR3 category, Aalerud held onto his lead, while Hedberg initially dropped a position to Erik Stillman. From the last row, championship contenders Stevan Petrovic and Erlend Juan Olsen began making their way through the field. Unfortunately, Petrovic’s race came to an early end after contact with Kim Karlsen, resulting in both drivers retiring from the race.
Olsen, on the other hand, managed to climb up to P3, but his efforts were undone by penalties for overtaking under the safety car and a jump start, which ultimately relegated him to P6.
Rantzow delivered a flawless performance in his SR10, securing the overall victory. In the PRO SR3 category, Aalerud claimed the win, followed by Stillman and Hedberg on the podium. As the series heads to the final round at Ring Knutstorp, the championship battle remains wide open, promising an electrifying conclusion to the season.
