Young drivers taking their first steps in cars. Experienced racers competing at the front.
Masters Class drivers moving from trackdays and performance cars into proper motorsport.
Radical Cup Scandinavia brings together young drivers taking their first steps in cars, experienced racers competing at the front and Masters drivers making the move from trackdays and performance cars into proper motorsport.
Here are seven reasons to join the grid.
Radical Cup Scandinavia is sanctioned by Radical Motorsport and the Nordic ASNs and is an official Radical Motorsport championship, run within the Nordic motorsport framework and bringing together competitors from across Scandinavia and beyond.
A professionally organised championship built around Radical racing cars, experienced teams and established Scandinavian race events.
Lightweight construction. Aerodynamics. Slick tyres. Sequential gearboxes. No unnecessary driver aids.
From the accessible SR1 to the significantly faster SR3, every Radical is designed around one purpose: going quickly around a race circuit.
It makes the cars exciting to drive, but also highly effective tools for developing technique, car control and an understanding of aero.
LIGHTWEIGHT. AERO-DRIVEN. BUILT TO RACE.
For some drivers, Radical Cup Scandinavia is the first step out of karting.
For others, it’s serious competition in the PRO SR3 class.
And through the Mastrs Class, an increasing number of experienced drivers are making the move from trackdays, supercars and performance driving into proper wheel-to-wheel racing.
Different ages. Different experience. Different ambitions.
They race together in the same championship.
PRO SR1 provides an accessible first step into prototype racing, putting young drivers in a lightweight, aero-driven car without driver aids such as traction control, ABS or power steering. It is a car that asks the driver to do the work, making it a useful place to learn the fundamentals of car control, braking and working with aerodynamic grip.
From there, the natural progression within Radical Cup Scandinavia is into the faster PRO SR3, before Radical Cup Europe opens the door to international competition.
And the Radical ladder has a proven history beyond its own championships. Drivers who have developed their craft in Radical racing have gone on to compete at the highest levels of GT and prototype racing, IMSA, LMP3, LMP2 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as progressing into the INDY NXT/INDYCAR ladder.
The destination doesn’t have to be decided on day one. What matters is building experience in a fast, lightweight racing car where driving technique matters – and developing skills that remain relevant wherever the career goes next.
KARTING → PRO SR1 → PRO SR3 → EUROPE → BEYOND
You don’t need to build a race team to become a racing driver.
Established Radical teams can provide the car, preparation, engineering, transport and trackside support needed for a complete race weekend.
That means less time worrying about logistics and more time concentrating on driving.
Whether you’re moving up from karting or making the jump from trackdays, there are experienced people around you to help make that transition.
EXPERIENCED TEAMS. PROVEN CARS. TURNKEY RACING.
Drivers and teams compete seriously on track while sharing a paddock, hospitality and plenty of time together away from it.
Experienced drivers regularly help newcomers with advice, data and coaching. Teams work alongside one another. Drivers who have just fought over the same piece of tarmac can sit down together afterwards.
For many competitors, that balance is a major part of why they race Radical.
From Gelleråsen and Ljungbyhed to Ring Knutstorp, Rudskogen and Jyllandsringen, Radical Cup Scandinavia races at established circuits and major race events across the region.
Weekend formats are designed to maximise seat time, with testing, practice, qualifying and multiple races giving drivers meaningful time on track.
Every event is backed by professional timing and race control, experienced teams, engineering and technical support, media coverage and live broadcasts from the championship.
Fast cars. Proper circuits. Strong support throughout the weekend.
You don’t need the same background as the driver next to you.
You might be leaving karting. You might already be an experienced racing driver.
Or you might have spent years driving fast cars on track and finally decided that it’s time to find out what happens when somebody puts a starting grid in front of you.
There is more than one way into Radical Cup Scandinavia.
