Championship battle heads to Ring Knutstorp

Radical Cup Scandinavia returns this weekend for Round 3 of the 2026 season, with Newsrace at Ring Knutstorp marking the start of the second half of the championship.

After two strong opening rounds, Stevan Petrovic arrives as championship leader, but the margins behind are still close. Ludvig Bäck, Erik Stillman and Rasmus Hedberg are all firmly in the hunt as the title fight moves onto one of the most technical circuits on the calendar.

There is plenty to watch further down the field too.

The battle in the Masters class remains tight, while the drivers in PRO SR1 face a new challenge as they take on Ring Knutstorp for the first time in the championship.

Pole Position Award could be decided

There is also something extra at stake in qualifying.

Petrovic currently leads the Sekvens Pole Position Award and can secure the award by taking one more pole position this weekend.

If he does not, the outcome could still be decided depending on how the two qualifying positions are shared. If no other driver manages to take both pole positions at Knutstorp, Petrovic will remain out of reach.

With qualifying already extremely close this season, that adds another layer to Friday’s session.

Knutstorp could mix things up

Newsrace traditionally attracts a strong crowd, and plenty of spectators are expected again this weekend.

The weather may also play a part. Mixed conditions are possible across Friday and Saturday, something that could make an already demanding circuit even more unpredictable.

With three races, a tight championship and plenty still to play for, Round 3 has all the ingredients for an interesting weekend.
